Holiday Premiums
According to the Ministry of Health’s Schedule of Benefits, here are the dates observed for using OHIP Holiday Special Visit Premium codes:

The Ministry of Health does not recognize Easter Monday, the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, or Remembrance Day as statutory holidays. As a result, special visit premiums cannot be applied to claims submitted on these dates.
The same Holiday Special Visit Premiums also apply to Emergency Services provided during the above dates.
Physicians in a non-Emergency setting:
Canada Day and New Year’s Day: If the holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday, then at the choice of the physician, either the Friday before or the Monday following the holiday can be billed with holiday premiums.
If Boxing Day falls on a Saturday, the Monday following Boxing Day can be billed with holiday premiums.
If Christmas Day falls on a Saturday, the Friday before and the Monday following Christmas Day can be billed with holiday premiums.
If Christmas Day falls on a Sunday, the Friday before Christmas Day can be billed with holiday premiums.
