OHIP Billing Cut-off Dates
Generally, the OHIP billing cut-off dates for medical claim submissions by Ontario physicians is the 18th of every month at 5pm E.S.T.
If the 18th happens to fall on a weekend or a holiday, the deadline will be extended to the next business day. Any claims submitted by 5pm on the deadline should be paid out the following month.
It is recommended that claim submissions be submitted by December 12 due to the holidays.
The Ministry of Health recommends that claims be submitted weekly for timely processing.
